Commonly just called Parrotlets, sometimes colloquially called Celestial Parrotlets, Pacific Parrotlets are some of the smallest Psittacine species in the world.
They are sexually dimorphic meaning that in nearly all of the mutations (with the minor exception of some Ino variations) you can identify males and females just by looking at them.
The major marker is that males will always have a vibrant blueish purple color throughout their primary and secondary flight feathers. You will also find this blue color in males on the lesser under wing-coverts (on the understand of the wing towards their "shoulder").
We breed a small number annually and offer them handfed for sale to interested families. Check out the "For Sale" menu under the Parrotlet menu to see the babies we currently have available!
